Entry #1. 1 Blog, 2 Blog, Good Blog, Bad Blog
This is my first official blog post, so go easy on me. I've never blogged before or really had any interest in doing so but I'll do my best for the sake of English 101. I never realized that I read blogs until I put in some research and discovered that some of the websites that I usually open are blogs. There are some that I find helpful and entertaining, but there are also others that I don't usually prefer to read, which include complex setups and useless information like celebrity drama. However, I do enjoy blogs that people use to express themselves and their ideas. Hopefully my blog will follow in those footsteps.
I clicked on a couple links to find a few blogs I could write about and came across three certain blogs: Men's Health, I Can Haz Cheezburger?, and TMZ.
The first blog to catch my attention while conducting research was the Men's Health blog. I have previously checked in on this blog as I am a man and was interested as to what this blog had to say. This is one of the blogs that I like to read and catch up on, as it has information on what I could do to live a healthier and more active life. It displayed how to eat healthier, workout routines, inspirational figures, and so on. As I was scrolling through this blog, I did not recognize anything that I thought made this blog bad or boring. All I could say that made this blog a little bit annoying was the ads in between every piece of information because sometimes they would get in the way of what I actually wanted to read. In terms of organization, the blog is very well organized. It has different tabs for different subjects like health, entertainment, fitness, style, and grooming. With all of these tabs, you will have no trouble finding what you want to read and learn about. The format that they use has all the tabs and at the home page, you'll find all of the topics in smaller detail so you can scroll if you should choose. The author's purpose behind creating this blog is to inform men on how to better take care of their body and make it healthier. Since the author was thinking of topics to improve men's health, they including pictures of healthy male celebrities, bodybuilders, links to healthier recipes, and links to workout routines. After covering the entirety of the Men's Health blog, it is safe to say that this is one of my favorite blogs to read about to help me better my fitness goals.
Hi Benny. I agree with you on the blogs. While I am not a man myself, the workouts were actually very interesting. The pictures on the Cheeseburger blog were very appealing. The TMZ blog was a bit too personal for me as well.
